Any document which passes through a laser printer has to contend with the heat of the Fuser unit. This process is relatively pain-free, however, for labels the situation becomes a little more problematic. There are the added dangers of die cut labels and adhesives. Poor quality labels may peel off inside the printer leading to adhesive contamination and/or damage to the printer drum. Avery Laser Labels are specially designed to endure this process. The adhesive we use will not melt in the high temperatures of a laser printer and our laser label sheets have a stripped edge to prevent adhesive from leaking out when sandwiched in between the rollers of the printer. All Avery Laser Labels have rounded corners, this makes the structure of the sheet stronger and considerably reduces the possibility of labels peeling off inside the printer. We recommend that you use the shortest feed path on your printer. This is usually via the manual or multi-purpose feed option. Always refer to your printer manual before using labels in your printer.
